Emini Future Trading

Emini Future Trading allows speculators with smaller amounts of risk capital to invest in the futures market. These contracts are ideal for new traders.

Emini Futures

There are now Emini contracts for many instruments including oil, gold, stock indicies and many more. However, it is often the case the the major stock indices have by far the most liquidity. Trading Emini contracts with low liquidity can result in wide spreads, potentially very wide, especially on the further out contracts.

Trading the emini contracts is just like trading standard contracts. You just need a broker that offers them. This should not be a problem as an increasing number of brokers now offer them. Amongst them are Saxobank and Xpresstrade.

Emini Day Trading

Day trading the emini contracts is very common and can be highly profitable. However, it requires a very large time commitment and can be immensely stressful. Personally, I prefer swing trading as the time commitment is much smaller and there is a lot less stress involved.

Emini Simulated Trading

It is always a good idea to sign up for a demo account with an Emini Futures Broker. This will allow you to practice your Emini Trading strategy with fake money before risking real money. I always believe it is wise to spend several months on simulated trading before trading a live account. All new traders make mistakes initially, so it is much better to make mistakes on a demo account than a live!

Emini futures are traded in exactly the same way as standard sized contracts.
