Agricultural Futures
There are many agricultural futures that can be traded on the futures market.
Commonly traded contracts for Orange Juice, Cotton, Sugar, Coffee, and Cocoa.
Before trading agriculture futures, it is important to fully be aware of the risks involved. Historical, many of these contracts have been extremely volatile and there is the ability to trade using high leverage. This can result in low margin requirements to open a contract. Whilst, this has many advantages, it also has many risks as well. If an open position moves against you, it can result in losses bigger than your original deposit with your broker, potentially much bigger.
If you are fully are of the risks and still wish to trade agricultural commodity futures there a few brokers out there which offer a good number of contracts. Personally, I have used both E-trade and saxobank for these contracts in the past and had no problems.
Most of these contracts are priced in US Dollar which is good if your native currency is the US Dollar, but if it is no there is an additional foreign exchange risk that should be considered.
